CJ Jarratt’s “Bad For My Teeth” is about letting someone go who wasn’t meant for you in the first place. Finding someone who shares common interests and values can seem extremely hard. There are so many things to experience with one another and so many questions and answers to be asked. You are at the beginning of a beautiful relationship, one that you really enjoy but there comes a point in every relationship when you realize the connection is lost. It may seem hard and impossible to get yourself free from them but staying around will only hurt you in the end. Losing yourself once and having to rediscover who you are is a long and difficult journey but once you do it you will never do that to yourself again. Instead, you will find better things to occupy your time with, whether it be hanging with your family or friends, new hobbies or even making a beautiful song to remind yourself of past times.

While the track is about moving on from someone who wasn’t the greatest partner. It has the mood of a great song with the feel-good instrumentals and rhythms that are played throughout. The guitar and drums combined with the electric beat drops give the song that rock pop feel. When listening to this song it reminded me of nostalgic times and artists not only from the intense instruments but because of the lyrics. Even though it’s a more upbeat soundtrack with a meaning behind that may seem sad, CJ says “…it might help you ask some big questions about whether you’re with the right person or not.”

Singer/songwriter CJ Jarratt is from the United Kingdom. Where he has released three singles all within the rock pop realm of the music industry. He started releasing music in 2022 and just recently after a small break he released “Bad For My Teeth.” With the few songs I listened to by Jarratt I was interested as his music compares to artists like MGK and YUNGBLUD, which are two of my favorite artists. I can’t wait to see what else CJ Jarratt has in store for us in his career as he gave us so much energy in “Bad For My Teeth.” As always be sure to follow his socials below and stay tuned for what else is to come.
