Choose Ur Fighter (Emeline's Version) by EMELINE cover art

In her new single "CHOOSE UR FIGHTER," EMELINE's haunting angelic voice may sound familiar if you scroll through TikTok regularly. This song takes you through an electronic push and pulls between finding the best lover in a relationship. The lyrics correlate to the themes of game-like choosing between possible relationships. With nods to past exes and knowing "the rules of the game," the song tells an exciting story of strength and self-resilience. The song would not be complete without EMELINE's commanding and confident vocals, adding to the important values the song holds. In the end, it is a powerful ballad of fulfillment and reclaiming power through choices.

The production of this song is sharp and perfected, making you want to dance around to the beat. The aura and weight of this song are not comparable without EMELINE's touch to the music, adding her artistry and showcasing her talent. The techno-pop hit uses similar sounds used in electronic and dance-style music but has it's personal catchy and distinct sound. This ear-worm-inducing hit is not complete without the final mix at the end of the song. Capturing an enchanting dance essence is executed extremely well in EMELINE's version of this song which I have not found in other hits comparable to her niche genre.

Produced and written by EMELINE back in 2022, her song has been taken into the hands of another Gen Z artist, Jojo Siwa. Siwa allegedly acquired the rights to this pop hit, but it was unbeknownst to EMELINE that her song was being used. Jojo has reportedly portrayed the song as hers through her statements of the song being about her ex. Regardless of the context, EMELINE's version of the song has its own soul. Just turning 27 years old in March, EMELINE's ethereal style should not be compared to anyone else in the game. After listening to EMELINE's version, it becomes clear that she has her heart and soul in her music.
