Kyler Niko is back for a music-filled year with his newest single, “Cry Club.” This track is dedicated to anyone going through a difficult time in their life. The title, “Cry Club” is meant to represent the space in which we retreat when our feelings of grief, heartbreak, and loss begin to overwhelm us. Some of the lyrics are self-degrading and hyper critical. These lines represent the judgement we pass on ourselves during more challenging periods of our lives. The following are some of these corresponding lyrics, “Come and overthink/ blame yourself” and “Let’s spend the weekend in hell.” Here, Kyler reinforces the emotional toll being in a dark state of mind can result in. There is a universal nature to heartbreak as it does not discriminate who it affects. Therefore, “Cry Club” will be relatable to anyone who has felt drained from life's many ups and downs.

The style and structure of “Cry Club” can be attributed to a textured and easygoing dance classic. The song’s beat is danceable while the guitar-driven melody enhances Kyler’s passionate vocals. “Cry Club” is energetic, yet chill. It’s a fusion of cheerful pop sound with introspective lyrics. The final sound which blends all of these great elements together almost feels futuristic. Overall, the execution of the track is well done, and it was a pleasure to listen to.
