"Dance After Darkness" covers a catchy beat with a layered and impactful story, overcoming struggles and embracing new strengths portrayed in lyrics. The song ebbs and flows from the pain and hurt the singer feels to turning the melody into an upbeat and resilient anthem. Lines like "They took the flowers from my fields" symbolize lost innocence or hardships that stripped away joy, while "Now I am me, no longer caged" highlights a powerful transformation. Scharliina makes note that although somber at times, this is not a sad song; It's a powerful message to support and recognize those who have felt broken or taken advantage of.

The melody builds from a softer beginning into a booming chorus, mirroring the journey that resilience takes. Balancing a beat that makes you get up and move but also sit down with reflection is a challenging aspect that Scharliina executes flawlessly. The beat and melody is ones that I can not get out of my head even after the first listen. Its lasting impact can be attributed to the production and powerful movement of the song. Scharliina moves audiences through her artistry and ability to convey perseverance through her incredible musical talent. The production and lyrics are only an aspect of music, but the confidence and passion Scharliina brings make the music take on a whole new meaning and impact.

Scharliina is a 24-year-old songwriter, producer, actress and model.
