Review: "Feels Like Heaven (feat. ALYSSAD)" - Ethan Salter

"Feels Like Heaven" by Ethan Salter and ALYSSAD is a song of infatuation, spoken from two different points of view. Salter's verse appears to portray a secret admiration for his romantic interest. Eventually, it turns into potentially unrequited or toxic love, with Salter singing, "Why you making my soul bleed?". In ALYSSAD's verse, it is revealed she is the crush in the song's story. She enjoys playing with the feelings he has for her. The lyrics of each verse mirror one another according to both singer's perspectives. In each one, they compare their bittersweet relationship, although comprised of yearning, to "heaven".
"Feels Like Heaven" is cross between folk and pop, production wise and vocals wise. This is complimented by Salter's singing voice, which is akin to alternative, rock, and country songs, with an added twinge of pop, making this single a genre-bending anthem. Him and ALYSSAD are amazing vocalists, and they harmonize perfectly together on the chorus. The title of the song is sung as a background vocal at the end of the chorus; it does not have to be the center of the song because the rest of the lyrical content already describes what the singers think "feels like heaven".
Ethan Salter is an alternative and pop music artist. He has made incredible songs in addition to "Feels Like Heaven", such as "For You", "Scars", and "Strangers Again". He is based in Los Angeles, California and is a member of SVN/BVRNT. He is set to perform with them at SOMA San Diego on January 31, 2025. ALYSSAD is a singer-songwriter who has outstanding songs in her discography, including "Puppetmaster", "Holy Ghost", and "Butterf(Lies)". She makes music that involves multiple different sound styles. Last summer, she performed at the Ziggy Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Ethan Salter and ALYSSAD are wonderful and very talented music artists!
