Dansy’s new single “High” brings us an amazing blend of nostalgic pop while wanting to break free from a lover’s control. It becomes a painful point in someone’s life when the person they thought loved them, turns out to be nothing more than an act. We sit and wish that their actions will somehow change but they only end up worse. With endless thoughts of how we can change them by expressing our deepest feelings and emotions. But ultimately, they take advantage of those feelings and show their true self. Leaving us perfectly content with breaking free from their manipulative hold.
As I sit in the empty, quiet library, sipping on my morning coffee listening to this song at a relatively early hour, the only thought running through my mind after just the first ten seconds was to get up and dance around. Dansy’s whole song has so many relatable aspects to it from the lyrics she sings right down to the throwback pop melodies played on the guitar and drums. Paired with those explosive instruments is her intoxicatingly great and dynamic vocals which she ranges perfectly at every verse. She starts off singing in a neutral manner as if she is having a casual conversation, then shifts into an energetic, catchy, tone that makes you want to never stop listening. “High” is mixed with many emotions, and you can hear each of those from start to end.
The brilliant singer/songwriter that is Dansy is from Melbourne, Australia. She started releasing music in 2021 with her first single “Wish U Could” and has released ever since. Her music has that alternative pop rock excitement making it the perfect genre for any day. I seriously can’t wait to see where the talented Dansy’s musical journey takes her next. After listening to “High” be sure to check out her same day release titled “Waking Up” by Dark Tala. As it reflects messages of a new beginning with vocals and instrumentals just as powerful as the rest. Don’t forget to follow her below and stay in the loop with her musical endeavors.
