This song feels like it should be playing on a popular radio station in the absolute best way possible. I love Sternbach's vocals on this indie-pop track. He is a talented vocalist, for sure. This break-up song is one of many, but it is told uniquely. You are still struggling, but as the days go on, you are beginning to think about this person less and less. A lesser degree, if you will.
My first thoughts were that, sonically, this track reminds me of Shawn Mendes and Dermont Kennedy. This song tells a story about not being able to get over a past lover, no matter how hard you try or how much time passes. You're still infatuated with this person, reminiscing about how they were the only person you felt understood you in ways no one else ever could. You feel almost stupid and embarrassed by your feelings, about how you can't get this person out of your head, despite how long it's been. It's a relatable story, that's for certain.
