Review: "Nowhere Feels Like Home" - Rosanna

When prompted to think about where they consider “home”, one may think of many things. The smell of crayons at the kitchen table. Scraped knees on the playground. The princess bedsheets on your childhood bed. As we grow up, our idea of home shifts and changes, which brings along a variety of struggles within this process. Some of these feelings are defined in Rosanna’s “Nowhere Feels Like Home”. With age comes certain milestones. Of these milestones includes moving out from the home we grew up in. Whether it is 10 minutes down the road or halfway across the country, the distance creates loneliness. Rosanna explores these hard emotions and the realization that home is people, not places, with artistic songwriting and fantastic musical technique.
This song was produced by Alexander Comana (or Meido Total) in a beautifully artistic way. The synths have a wide melodic and expressive range, and the underlying rhythm drives the song through its climaxes and valleys. The instrumental components compliment the emotional elements of the songwriting in a wonderful way. With a bouncy characteristic within the synths, listeners are brought into the feelings of the track. Just as the synths bounce against the walls of the room the song is being played in, one can imagine their voice echoing back to them in an empty house. Not only did Comana produce a technically impressive song, but he also created an emotional work of art.
Rosanna is an emerging artist from the United Kingdom and “Nowhere Feels Like Home” is the first single of 2025. Previous releases include her debut EP “Restless” and her single “Ten Times More”. On this single she collaborated with Tayte Nickoles, the Music Producers Guild Breakthrough Producer of the Year for 2024. Not only is Rosanna an impressive artist and creator, her performance skills are nothing shy of enticing and mind-blowing. This is evident in her sold-out shows across London, including a sold-out EP launch, and support slots for various artists. Her work has garnered praise from multiple media outlets.
