If you're in the mood for infectious loud guitar riffs and stories of love being restored, take a bet and listen to "You & I," the new release by group San Demas. An emotional fire burns through you as you listen to "You & I" exactly how rock music should. The song follows the story of a troublesome relationship and the attempts made to bring this love back to life, even through all the hardships. It's a song about pushing forward for a better outcome, and the instrumentals for this song help portray the immense force of efforts to power on. San Demas certainly know how to fill one up with energy, and bands like them get you excited about the future for this genre.
"You & I" thrives and is energetic from beginning to end. The lyrical content of this song takes a very poetic approach, using imagery to really paint specific scenes to portray the complexity of this relationship. There's certainly a level of acceptance in how difficult this relationship has been able to stay alive, but it also shows determination to keep it alive. The vocal performance done by Lucy Parish on this track stands out as she sings with such power and emotion. Throughout "You & I" the instrumentals stay strong and maintain the attention of listeners very well, but during the chorus when everything explodes is where we really get to see the level of talent the band has. What's so enjoyable about music of this genre is the strength of the instrumental goes hand in hand with the song's lyrical intent. "You & I" portrays the strength someone needs in order to fight for what they love and San Demas got the job done when making and performing this track.
