New alternative-pop single “You, Me & Desire” by artist Drew Thomas is an introspective and energetic track that captures the complexity of one’s relationship with sexuality and trying to understand those feelings of lust that can, at times, feel unsettling. With this song, Thomas is transparent with his own experiences of being young and attempting to keep these emotions locked in. The style of the song certainly matches the energy of the lyrical content as it does have a dark edge to it, contributing to the twisted emotions behind the song. Overall, “You, Me & Desire” is clean in production, yet it cuts deep, and it’s simply just a great tune.

The bass line and guitars are certainly a driving force in this song, it’s what gets listeners moving to “You, Me & Desire.” Drew Thomas has a great voice, a range that is so interesting to see as the song progresses. You can clearly hear the eagerness in his voice as he’s honest about his own experiences. The chorus explodes in the best way possible, really pushing the heat of this track, and the post-chorus is so catchy that it definitely gets stuck in your head. The guitar solo after the bridge is so mesmerizing you can’t help but replay it over and over, certainly adding to the kick this song has. While listening to “You, Me & Desire,” you can for sure feel the release of energy that has been held back for so long, and what makes the song so wonderful is how much passion Drew Thomas has put into this project.
